Mr. O’Neill advises DCBA’s clients on matters of public policy and corporate responsibility. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Mr. O’Neill served as Federal Affairs Associate for the O’Neill Corporation, where he managed outreach to federal elected officials, their staffs, and campaigns.
As a special assistant to Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (Ill.-14), Mr. O’Neill interacted regularly with high-profile, national and international figures, including the president of the United States and foreign heads of state. He coordinated Congressional Medal of Honor events and leadership, budget, and Senate meetings.
Mr. O’Neill worked on the Washington, D.C. staff of U.S. Rep. Jim Ryun (Kan.-2), executing special projects at the direction of the congressman and providing constituent services. He also served on the staff of U.S. Rep. Gary Miller (Calif.-42), performing direct constituent service and helping to establish the congressman’s Washington, D.C. office during the congressman’s first term.
Mr. O’Neill began his career on Capitol Hill in the office of U.S Sen. Rick Santorum (Pa.). He has served as a volunteer on a national presidential campaign and has extensive contacts among political and career staff members in the executive and legislative branches. Mr. O’Neill holds a master’s degree with a concentration in international affairs from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Pennsylvania State University.
